Nordstau, as soon as this word is mentioned in the weather forecast, things get restless in the Innsbruck freeride scene. Northern reservoirs regularly supply the Nordkette, Innsbruck's local mountain, with massive amounts of fresh snow. When you get up you can hear the avalanche blasts and the smell of fresh snow hangs in the air. Already in the gondola your pulse rises. On the Seegrube straight on to the cirque and then just don't let yourself get left behind when sprinting around the first lines. When you make your first mark in the waist-high powder of the Karrinne, you know: it was worth it again!

We designed this board for days like this, which is why it made sense for us to name it after this weather phenomenon. Wide with a good setback and swallowtail, the Stompede Nordstau glides early and lets you float down any slope even in the deepest snow. The reverse sidecut on the nose and the relatively short overall length allow you to keep your foot on the gas even during tight tree runs.

The very wide nose, together with the elongated nose rocker and the early rise just in front of the binding, ensure early planing and incredible lift.

Effective edge hold

A light camber between the bindings provides the necessary edge support for traverses, harder sections or even days on the corduroys.

Swallowtail

Reduces the contact surface in the rear area of ​​the board without shortening the effective edge length. This leads to a steeper angle of attack, so that the board floats early, but at the same time is still easy to control.

Nordstau Splitboard

Hab schon das zweite Board von Stompede und bin immer noch begeistert. Mit der Sprank ARC Bindung ist der Umbau noch einfacher und geht auch bei kaltem Wetter schnell und Problemlos zum umbauen.

Nordstau mit Explorer Bindung - Super Packet!

Genau wie beschrieben, einfache Handhabung auch bei widrigsten Bedingungen. Das Abstecken mit dem Stift geht einfach und schnell. Vereisungen sind kein Problem. Bisher bin ich drei Touren gegangen. Egal ob Tiefschnee, eisiger Ziehweg oder enge Waldabfahrt, jedes Mal Traumhaft!
