Find out all about our splitboard sets
Buying a complete splitboard equipment can be a real challenge, especially for splitboard beginners:
The time-consuming comparison of boards. What are the differences between splitboard bindings and do these skins even fit the board?
When you add up the individual prices, you'll be speechless. We understand how frustrating that can be!
In our online shop you will find sets of splitboards, suitable climbing skins, bindings and necessary adapters .
Your benefits:
- Everything fits together 100%
- You can save up to 25%
- Simply order and off to the mountain!
Which is the right splitboard set for me and what should I look out for when buying one?
The more precisely you can formulate your own wishes and needs, the easier it will be for you to find your perfect splitboard set in our online shop.
First, be clear about how, where and under what conditions you will be using the set:
- Do you want to use it in all conditions and even spend a day in the ski resort ?
- Are you always looking for the deepest snow ?
- Are you looking for a lightweight splitboard setup for long, high alpine tours ?
- Do you also want to jump over every hill and land switch on your tours?
Next, you should consider which board and binding best suits you and your riding style:
Splitboard
Which shape might suit me?
- More of a freestyle shape or is the powder shape a better fit?
Which board characteristics are particularly important to me?
- Is it better to have a hard board to run it, or do I need a softer board that is also forgiving?

binding
What type of bindings do I prefer?
- More freestyle bindings with more freedom of movement
- Or freeride bindings that provide fast and direct power transmission?
What do your tours look like ?
- Do you usually go on long tours where you have to change gear at the summit?
- Or tours with several short climbs and descents, so that you have to change your board and bindings more often?
On long tours it doesn't really matter if you need a little longer to change gear at the summit, but if you have to change gear more often it can become annoying.
- Do you also want to use your binding on your normal board ?
This would speak in favor of a binding that already comes with solid adapters.

budget
Decide in advance how much you want to spend. You should not only keep an eye on the price of your desired set, but also plan for any necessary splitboard accessories (e.g. touring poles or crampons) .
As you can see, there are a few things you should consider when buying a splitboard setup. But don't worry if you don't have the answer to everything. With our board finder you can quickly find the splitboard set that suits you . Alternatively, you can also get personal advice from our experts .
Frequently asked questions from our customers
-
You should choose the size of your board based on your weight . This is particularly important when climbing, as otherwise you may sink too deep into the deep snow or not be able to get a secure grip on the edges on harder traverses. Both of these use up valuable energy that is then missing for the descent.
Of course, the next step should be to take body size into account. There are cases where classification based on weight alone would result in a board that is as tall as you are, or a board that only reaches your chest. In such cases, you have to decide individually whether up/down sizing makes sense or whether another board would fit better.
The last important point is that the width of the board matches your boots. This will prevent your heel or toes from sticking out over the edges. Since binding position and angle are very subjective settings, it is best to compare the waist widths from the table with a board that you like to ride.
For a first orientation, you can find the size charts for our boards here:
If in doubt, just ask us , we will be happy to help you. -
Here you can find the respective size information from the binding manufacturers, which experience has shown to fit very well:

Our sets include everything you need for your first tour: the board itself, climbing skins and bindings . The only thing you need for your first piste tours and which is not part of your normal snowboard equipment are telescopic poles .
For tours on the slopes, a small backpack would be useful to store poles and skins for the descent and to take drinks and snacks with you.
For tours in open terrain you also need avalanche equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe & shovel).

To mount your splitboard binding you only need the following tools:
- Union Explorer and Union Charger :
Phillips screwdriver (PH3)

We regularly attend test events where you have the opportunity to test our boards (regular information via the newsletter). However, since we often receive feedback that attending a test event is difficult, we thought about what alternatives we could offer: If you can't come to the board test, then the test board will have to come to you! That's why we introduced our 100-day satisfaction guarantee . This means that when you buy a board, you have 100 days to do up to three test days on the mountain with it. If you don't get on with the board, you can simply return it and get the full purchase price refunded .

For piste tours, tours from the ski area or even if you only want to take one board with you on holiday, it is important that a splitboard can be used in all conditions and of course also on the piste.
This works very well with all of our boards and we have often received feedback from our customers that they prefer to use their splitboard rather than their normal snowboard, even for days in the ski resort.
