The Stompede Dawn Patrol splitboard combines a light, robust carbon construction with a sophisticated flex profile for relaxed ascents. The smooth-running ash-poplar wood core and the innovative freeride shape ensure total fun on the descent and make it the perfect board for long tours, untouched powder snow slopes and steep gullies.     What we do differently 👋

    More float = more flow

    The long nose rocker, combined with the early rise just in front of the binding, ensure a flat angle of attack, which gives the Dawn Patrol enormous lift. The taper of the board from front to back, works together with the tail rocker to prevent the nose from diving.


    Easy turn initiation without catching an edge

    In order to maintain a flat angle of attack on an edged board, we used reverse sidecuts on our boards. This means that turns can be initiated very easily and edge catching is efficiently avoided.

    Fast and safe skin-mounting

    With our EZ-Lock-skin-system, the skins can be securely attached in seconds. This is also possible when the board halves are connected and thus contributes to safety: When switching between ascent and descent mode, the skins can remain on the board, which minimizes the risk of them sliding away.

    Binding compatibility

    The binding inserts correspond to the Voilé interface standard and are therefore compatible with all common binding systems (SP, Spark, Karakoram, Plum, Union, K2).

    Step 1

    Align the front edge of the binding with the touring bracket.

    step 2

    Push the pin through the hole in the binding and the touring bracket. Push the pin handle inward and lock the pin securely into the base plate.

    step 3

    Now you are ready for the tour. For support on steep climbs, you can fold down the climbing aid under the base plate.

    Ride Mode

    Explorer Disk

    The Union Explorer Split Disk features a unique design that brings the two halves of the splitboard together under your feet, providing a natural board flex and ride feel.

    Step 1

    Remove the pin from the base plate and press the binding directly down onto the disc.

    step 2

    Rotate the binding 90° in the direction of the arrows on the disk to align it with the pin hole. The binding will lock into place at the angle you set.

    step 3

    Insert the pin through the base plate and the disk. Lock the pin securely into the side wall cover of the base plate. And now it's time to enjoy the descent!
